When your not using your ice castles in the off season are you supposed to have them lowered to the ground, or is it ok to keep them ready to transport position?

I don’t own one or know for sure but it would make sense to me to let air circulate underneath to keep everything dried out.

If I didn’t use mine all summer I’d set it down on blocks. That way you’d keep critters from living under it and take the weight off the tires. I use mine all of the time so I just leave it on the wheels year round.

I would agree block it up for all the above reasons. Keeping the air moving around helps prevent stagnant moisture that could start mold or mildew and smell.

We keep our house at a semi-permanent spot at my in-laws lake property during the summer. While parked there or in storage we’ll block it up, but when we back it in we’ll also back each tire onto a piece of treated 1×6 to keep the tires from sitting directly on the ground (it can be a fairly wet lot at times.)

Great advice everyone. I will be putting mine on blocks this weekend.

my Firebrand is a cedar finished toyhauler. Winter is atv storage and transport for ice fishing, its either at my house or on our hunting property in Tomahawk. Spring finds it on blocks moved well into our hunting property and acts as atv storage, camper, and wildlife viewing. It stays there all summer till fall when the wheels get reinstalled, then its a camper for grouse hunting and atv transport till its time for ice fishing. My unit gets use all year.

FYI – I just had a guy find out the hard way his ice castle is not insured properly. If you don’t have yours scheduled separate (like a boat) you likely have a $1,500 limit of coverage. The guy who had a tree come down on his isn’t real happy to find out this way

I got mine insured with Justin over at woods and water insurance. Even covers it if it goes through the ice. I thought I was well priced for the coverage it offers.
