Let me ask this another way. What type of battery should go in an Ice Castle or what do you guys have in yours? Lead acid or AGM and if lead acid does it have removable top caps to check and add water. TIA

Deep cycle sealed AGM, the bigger the better. Mine are 31 series.

Yes AGM’s. They do not need to be vented when on the inverter charger.

Do agm batteries need a special charger like lithium batteries or will regular fish house chargers work?

Also most lead acid batteries do have caps that come off. Sometimes they are under the labels and most people don’t even know they are there.

My sealed AGMs charge just fine off the converters/chargers in both my fish houses. I just plug the shoreline into the house to charge and maintain and on the ice my 2000 watt generator keeps them topped off while also giving 120v power.
