Hey Everyone- wondering what you all think I should do to repair a large tear in my ice armor bibs. They got caught in my yak tracks earlier this year.

I tried using Tenacious Tape but that just peeled right off after a couple of outings.

Just wanted to see if anyone has something easy to use.

I use a heavy patch and cover it. Tear mender then sew the patch on.

In Chicago we call them Shoemakers. They repair shoes etc. our local one has already repaired tear in my hiking boots leather and my 30-year old Sorels. He is a cantankerous old hoot but he gets the job done.

I recently got a little too close to my buddy heater with my brand new Strike Master bibs. I wanted to cry. Took them to Demorie Alterations in Isanti. $10 she put a sweet patch on that was thick and matched perfectly.

    Well worth taking them in.

So I had a buddy who blew the crotch out of his ice fishing bibs. They were old school cloth bibs worn for hunting as well and were blaze orange. Anyhow he took them into a shoemaker repair type place we had in town. Well he fixed it, but we couldn’t stop laughing. The repairman used a large piece of black leather in the area and well it looked like my buddy was wearing a black speedo over his blaze orange bibs. He quickly retired that pair of bibs after a day of hysterical laughter out on the ice. Guessing the repairman didn’t have any fabric to match the color and don’t get me wrong, the repair was top notch, just looked a bit strange was all… lol
