Hey man I’ve had the deep blue ice armor suit for about 3-4 years in all honesty it’s not as good as they claim I would honestly recommend the guys over at Frabil they have a suit like no other if you have the money invest in this bad boy it’s the SnoSuit by Frabill I will post a link at the end of the reply. Another thing I suggest if your feet are getting cold but some red head polypropylene socks those absorb the sweat created in the boot and then over the polypropylene wear a heavy wool sock! Amen to that!

    Thanks man

my dad bought an Ice Armor suit a few years ago. Last year he bought a Striker hardwater suit like mine. When he bought his Ice Armor suit I bought my Striker, I’m still using mine and he upgraded to the same one if that tells you anything. His IA suit just kind of fell apart in a few short years and he doesn’t fish all that much.

I probably will try a different brand out or shop around the next few years but I have had my blue suit for probably 4 or 5 years and Its starting to come apart by the bottom of the pants but I have no complaints and I wear mine all the time. I don’t have any complaints besides the knee pads aren’t the greatest.

The Ultra Parka is the top of the line in Clam’s Ice Armor lineup. The price point is certainly indicative of the innovation that continues to evolve in the the manufacturing and production of their outerwear.

As mentioned in the previous posts the IA lineup came out a few years ago and the newer Ultra has taken into considerations the iterations that were produced up until then.

Comparable to a car/truck company coming out with a new model. Things will continue to improve overtime with input from those currently using the product and putting it through the paces.

Let us know what you decide to go with for the season!

I’ve used the gray ice armour suit for 5 years now and not a single complaint, I ripped a tiny hole in it but that was my own doing. Works like a boss IMO!

the four models of Ice Armour suits have different amounts of insulation in them.

here is a break down of the suits :

the Edge Suit (blue & black one) doesn’t have insulation in it.

the Extreme Suit (gray & black one) has a fair amount of insulation in it.

the Ultra Suit (mainly black w/gray) has the most insulation in it.

the ultra is almost to warm at times for most people especially when doing things like pulling a house by hand.

the Lift Suit(blue & gray) is like the edge suit but has the added closed cell foam layer that makes it float. this suit is not coast guard approved but not many of the floating suits are except for the mustang brand suits.

I personally wear the lift suit most of the time but on the really cold days that are below zero I switch over to my striker hardwater suit.

I own the same suit. Love it. Keeps you warm and dry.

Edited because I had it confused with my Arctic Armor which is HORRIBLE.
