Ice access this weekend 12/7 near garrison

Hey!
Heading up to Mille lacs this weekend. Obviously not the best ice conditions but we planned this trip weeks ago as my buddy’s parents are out of town and their cabin is open.

That being said, any recommendations in terms of places to go out of? Obviously we’ll be walking. Just looking for the best shot of safe ice and decent fishing. I’d prefer to be not too far away from garrison but if there’s a different section of the lake that has better ice we’d make the trip.

I would guess the south side but id call the resorts.

I’d be careful going anywhere out on the main lake. But most bays should be good to go (Cove, Wahkon, Isle). They’ll just be wet. Going to be a lot of slush out there right now. Best place to find info is to look at the resort pages on Bookface. Or call them.
