Our LotW ice trip is scheduled for Dec. 16. I called there yesterday and the lake is still wide open. The forecast is against us. The daily high temps will be above freezing until Sunday the 14th. Then the nightly lows will only dip in to the mid or upper teens. If the wind does not blow, it will make ice. Question is how fast? Not fast enuff is my guess. I want at least 10″ to venture out on my ATV. At the resort we are going to there are no weekend openings thru January due in part to the cancellations and rescheduling that has already occurred.
Im set to be up there for a week starting January 4th, its not looking good.
you will be fine for wheelers. We were going to take my boat up there but that isn’t an option so we cancelled. Sportsmans is shooting for the 25th to let people out.
