Hahahaha
Perfect little house boat on any lake!
You know I was just talking with some friends how I want to find a large old pontoon or small barge and put my ice shack on it to use during the summer months in the back waters! Definitely awesomeness though!
She hasn’t seen the grill yet…
Imagine the awesome naps one could have on the lake with the light wind and waves rocking you to sleep. Anchor in your favorite spot and use rattle reels. I could even put my new grill on it if it and I loose our home…..
Does anybody remember the NaviCamper? My family briefly owned one when I was a kid and then a tornado flipped it over and that was it. I’d love to find an advertisement for it.
How the hell do you launch it? Back it into the water, then deploy the pontoons?

Good question.

Great idea.
It looks like it was something you added to your current trailer. Might work on an Ice house.

My boss bought a barge to bring concrete trucks to his island on vermillon so we could pour his footings and slabs. It has 3 verado 400r motors on it. It’s going up for sale soon if your interested. It’s a little out of my price range.

One would have to back in deep enough that the pontoons did not just bottom out against the concrete ramp. I would think the camper floor would be flooded before that depth could be achieved. I’m sure there is a reason the concept is not prevalent today.

Your boss is doing well for himself, that’s for sure!
That thing is neat! “Can be ready for the water in JUST 10 Minutes!”

He owns 3 big construction companies, the biggest twin cities roll off company, and the mpls transfer station. Plus 400 section 8 housing places. So I’d say he is doing very well off.
4 islands on vermillion 2 with massive cabins, and 2 monster homes on Minnetonka. I think he is doing way better then most.

What if you launch the barge and then bring it to shore to load the camper? Might have to find the right spot on a shore line but just thinking that way might be the best.
There are plenty of pictures on the internet of people putting anything from small travel trailers to full on luxury Class As on barges. They always look so top heavy and I always wonder what their methodology of loading and unloading it is. I suppose just ramps, but must be a touchy process.
I was thinking like they do it on the yukon… cut some trees and just tie them together! lol
In the description it says the pontoons when lowered still allow the wheels to contact the ground. Once launched the pontoons hydraulically extend.
