It was a beautiful afternoon on the Mississippi River yesterday…. When I was coming off the river and looked back I noticed the full moon coming up over the hill… That’s when I thought that I wish I was just heading out instead of coming back in…

I was pulling some cranks handlining…it seems a little early…at least that’s what the males are telling me… some are milting some are not….still catching females that do not seem to have that “about to pop” look and feel to them….

Pool 10 has about 47deg water temp In the channel… it will be soon….

Have you been fishing that spinner blade on the rear treble hook long? Do you find it make a difference?

Just started this year.. I was out fishing (6 feet away) from my buddy and I did end up with more than he did… Now it wasn’t 2-1 but it was more….

    I like it !!

I was able to get some of the VMC Bladed trebles from FishUSA, I am going to replace the “feathered” hook on some X-raps, it should be a killer combo.

Dave how did the blade look/work on the rear look?

I would think they would really work well on the rear of a lipless crank – Rattletrap. I can see lots of uses for them. That little extra flash may make a big difference. A little curious how it will effect the action on some jerkbaits. It may effect how they rise or suspend

The trouble hooks with a blade on them are very easy to make for a 1/4 of the cost or less. Bend up a small wire or paperclip and attach a swivel and blade to it. Then tie that onto the shank of the hook. For you muskie guys, drill a hole into the fin of a suick. Attach a split ring, swivel and colorado blade. As the lures rises that blade will keep spinning. waytogo
