He was probably my favorite weatherman, unless I am forgetting someone.

This back in 1996 – I remember coming back home from a party when I was in high-school at the very end of my Senior year. Lightening was flashing all around as I pulled into the driveway and you could tell all hell was about to break loose. There was a big tornado outbreak that night. Anyway I went inside and immediately flipped on the TV to see if there was anything heading our way and there was Dave. He wasn’t normally the weekend guy and I think he was “pulled-in” to report on the severe weather. He must’ve previously been at some formal event because he was in a tux and had obviously had a few cocktails. Pretty hilarious! He was having trouble pointing the right area of the map, pronouncing names of towns, etc. I always think of that memory and chuckle when I hear his name. He’s a piece of Minnesota history, he’ll be missed.

I remember Barry, but I think he retired when I was young. He’d definitely would have been in the running if he was still doing weather in the 80s.

I’m just happy no one had mentioned Paul Douglas. I hate that guy.

My new favorite is Dave Osterberg down here.

I get the joke, but I have always had an interest in the weather and Florida weather is interesting.
