i Pilot problem

After the Terrova running about 30 min., the i Pilot screen goes out. No button you push will turn it back on. After about 15 to 30 min. if you push the prop button it will start up and run for another 30 min or so and then go blank. This is the way it goes all day. This can’t be a battery problem could it? Just wondering if anyone else ever had this problem.

The I-Pilot Gen 1 screen will go into sleep mode if you havn’t changed anything for a while whether or not your motor is running or not. I don’t remember the time line, just to save the battery.

Have you had your tm running and have it go blank? Did the motor quit when this happened?

I had some weird stuff going on somewhat like this. I switched out the battery on the remote and good to go!!!

The Remote is supposed to turn off if it hasn’t been used in 30 minutes to conserve the battery.
I just hit the power button to turn it back on.
It will continue to spot lock or follow the contour while the remote is off.
Do you have it fully charged when you go out.

FYI, Yes it does sound like a battery issue.

I’ll start by putting in a new battery. If that doesn’t work I’ll talk to the Minn Kota boys. Thanks everyone!

Spare remote batteries for the glove box are priceless!

I ran my I-Pilot 101 gen 1 with it’s original battery for 3 to 4 years, I replaced it “just because” though it was telling me that I had no need to. It was just cheap insurance.
