whats funny is they are trying to win 250 bucks….

What’s even funnier is that $250 will hardly even pay for the gas, tackle, and other expenses after the week spent prefishing and the tournament.

But I guess dats how some peeps pay da bills….

We were all 19 once and said something before our brains caught up with our mouths. The important thing is that you man’d up and realized what you said. I, for one, can respect that.

    I fished a tourney for a $150.00 rod a couple times. whistling

Sometimes it’s not the cash that’s at the end of the rainbow.

The only tournaments i fish anymore are for bragging rights wink

All i ever win at actual tournaments are the raffles at the end; and that’s usually a lawn chair with a weight limit of 150# (Useless) or a canepole that breaks on the first bullhead (True story)

I just stick close to my lucky buddy (Now passed) and buy from him whatever he wins.

I’m just not a winner let alone 5×3

I also forgive you,it is good that you learned earlier than most.
next time you are in a tournament, take a good look at those around you that are not in it,they may just want to seek you out and any wisdom you may possess, give them a good reason to seek you out for that rather than to open up a can of whoop ass on you. good luck on the next one!!

Well Gabe you never mentioned the distance you “flew by them”. As far as I am concerned if your at the legal distance and your boat is on plane your causing less wake then slow rolling by at the same distance. Did you rip by other boaters or did you have 100ft+ between you and another boat? Your original post leaves alot of details out and honestly this is the internet where you will get slammed for nothing if you don’t describe the situation better bud.

There are laws and there is courtesy. We were fishing the Indian river and a JA and his friends in a pontoon drive right by our poppers.

Then I read on a message board down here some JA saying regs say boats have the right of way over your lines.

So you didn’t break a rule, your still a douche for not taking an extra minute or 2 for giving a wide berth.

This is not directed at anyone here, its directed at the toon guy and message board guy. Just giving a similar example of “because I can” isn’t a good defense for bad behavior.
