If you’re gonna post some clickbait I’d recommend putting a little more effort in. This community isn’t real receptive to pump-n-dump YouTube videos.
Congratulations on catching a fish. That is real impressive. Are you Pro-Staff? Do you wear a Buff?

It’s funny because it true.
Sorry I didn’t watch your video, nor will I.
Notice how these guys almost never post another comment after their initial video post? Comical.
Not to worry, it was his first post here. He won’t be back.
Kind of like Marcus Wahl? He didn’t go down quietly though but he gone.
In case anyone wants to revisit…

I don’t know why you guys are so hard on the guy, everyone has to start somewhere. I for myself enjoyed the video.

He is here for clicks only. Click away and make him happy.
Okay I am probably naive on this stuff but what do you mean “clicks only” what benefit does it do him other than knowing someone looked at his video?

Clicks = $$
Ok, I will click away. Cost me nothing, if he gets something out of it great. How did James attract his initial following? Or uncut angling? I am sure their first stabs at producing content was not anywhere close to what it is today. If you do not want to watch the video, don’t. Why bash the guy for trying? If something is posted that doesn’t belong on this site I believe they have moderators to make that call.

Apples to oranges.
One is to educate while making $ the other is to exclusively make $.

Tomr, none of us were really that hard on the guy. Granted…not positive or encouraging comments but nothing near the wrath that some here have been subjected to.
The disapproval is more that it’s not uncommon for someone to register and post their video and then just move on. History here is not necessarily a prerequisite to post a video but the group here would respond more favorably towards an active member that has been posting, commenting, asking questions or offering advice.
This is what used to be called a “discussion or message board” so that is what member’s come here for, not to watch videos. YouTube is for that.
He posted his video without a word of comment. These “one-timers” just aren’t likely to participate in any other topics or discussions so they are perceived as just self serving their own agenda.
~8,000 views for all his videos combined. That could be about $2-5 maybe if he had ads enabled which it doesn’t look like they are.
But, yeah, I’m pretty disappointed in these people coming here trying to post fishing videos and cluttering up the chainsaw and home maintenance advice.
I too have gotten a bit tired of all of the YouTube videos and I understand the responses on here, but I watched the video and it actually looks like a helluva fun time!

I can’t even find the Official Wild thread anymore.
How did James attract his initial following?
Being a full time guide with 300+ days a year on the water putting up daily fishing reports.

Well said Andy.
It’s all about clicks. Their video is already on youtube and if I want to watch videos on fishing (other than IDO) I will go to youtube not here. Now back to important fishing stuff, I am building a playhouse for my son and…..

Or 13 pages of people repeating themselves on their surefire ways to stop school shootings, or multiple pages of back and forth banter about Vikings vs. Packers.
For the record, I’m fine with all of the above. If I don’t like something I don’t need to click on it. Right now I don’t need a chainsaw, so I didn’t click on that thread, but I didn’t bash it either.
