I love ice fishing but this is nice. Will suck when we pay for it in April and its still 33.

I’ll take it all winter long….when the trucks can’t drive on the local lakes I can fish with a little more freedom.

Its all good with me. Very good boating weather. Boating season for me ended 2 days before Christmas last year. 2021 boating season started a week ago.

It’s also nice to be able to take the kiddo out more. Much more enjoyable when it’s nice out.

Normally I’d wait until a warm 25° day in January, but it’s forecasted to be 34° )

No complaints here. More ice would be nice but another foot and I have to drill outside.

I remember a winter around 2000, that if we had another week of warm weather towards the end of February, the lakes around Mpls would have opened up. It didn’t happen and March was the coldest month of the winter and by the end of it the lakes had the thickest ice of the whole winter.
