I’ve not seen anything that says you can connect the units via Bluetooth. It is my understanding that Bluetooth is mostly to see who is calling/texting without getting your phone out. Also looks like it has a few other possible uses like software upgrades with an app on your phone.

This stuff changes so fast that it is entirely possible that I am wrong.

I’ve been under the same understanding as Ryan. None of the information that I have seen says units will communicate via bluetooth. Unfortunate really.

A humminbird ethernet cable is what you will need for them to talk.

Another question. When they are networked together what transfers across? I was told on the helix units it just will link waypoints, and that no maps, or sonar could be transferred between units. Is that true?

Correct. And if you have more than two units that you would like networked you’ll need the Humminbird Network Hub and all units will connect to that.
