Colin Kaepernick is looking for a job in the Nfl as a starting quarterback. His symbolic stand – or kneel down against our terrible nation will be taking a back seat to the important task at hand of making money. He claims he has seen enough progress so now he will stand for our national anthem. What a high character guy…

I said it all along, the whole deal was to get attention on himself!
It was never a stand for anything but his ego!

If some team thinks they can make a buck with him they will take a hard look at him. A stand mines nothing but, money talks.

The whole purpose of him kneeling was for “a cause” then he doesn’t even go and vote. What a joke this guy is.

You guys realize he has done more with his celebrity than almost all of us on here. I don’t care for the guy or even think he’s that good at football but he’s donated a lot of time and money to charities. He’s also raised a lot of attention to some major issues going on in our country. He has freedoms just the same as you and me. Who are we to judge?

Why are we less free to judge than he is to disrespect the flag? Everything he does is calculated to keep the focus on him, even his cash donations.

I reserve the right to judge the goof. Then again, I think his cause is a joke, so what do I know. Regardless, I’ll never respect him for his antics. Celebrity… loser may be a better definition, in my opinion.

I agree, money talks in the NFL… I would love to see his without a position on any team, unless it is in maybe Canada.

Regardless of what we all think of him, what he did worked. It brought awareness to a major issue with our country. It certainly brought people’s attention to the matter which is good. Better than just ignoring the issue altogether.

I won’t get too caught up in this. Just thought the whole thread seemed a little one sided. Nothing wrong with multiple opinions.

I think when police get shot in the line of duty the media should cover the tragedy with the same zealous they do when a officer makes a poor decision.

The real problem is the fact that police are being shot and innocent people are being shot by cops. Find ways to end that and we won’t have to worry about how the media covers it. Easier said than done but I feel that’s where the focus should be.

I’ve never been shot by a cop, but i’ve never given them a reason to feel they should shoot me either. Also, i’ve never been shot by a gang banger, but i’ve never given them a reason to shoot me either.

I’m a very lucky guy I guess, maybe i’ll go buy a lottery ticket. coffee

He’s somebody who thought he was somebody, just another entertainer who has a bigger platform to make a statement. Those people’s opinions do not mean they’re more important than yours or mine

not really sure what you are inferring here big g??? are you saying that it was obama’s fault somehow? or are you saying that black men weren’t really getting shot and maybe philando castille wasn’t really shot by a cop in st Paul and the media was making things up?? trust me, the media is waiting for the next one to happen and will be doing everything they can to link trump/republicans to the cop.

your logic is the only thing making me go hmmmmmmmm
