Not the prettiest 300 but I finally shot a 300. Now I just need to increase my X count. 300/39X for my first 300. I’ll take it.

And no picture to go with it? Congrats on the 300.

Congrats! I think I still have my medal for my first MAA use to give them out at shoots.

Congratulations! I use to shoot winter league and it took me almost three years to shoot a 300. I came really close several times but always seemed to choke on my last 5 arrows. My target is hanging in my fishing/hunting room.

Pictures don’t seem to want to load. I’ll try again.

I shot league for the first time last year. I picked up a bow December 2013 after a 15 year break from archery. I’m enjoying being back.

Stupid question… I was 12 last time I shot league so I’ve likely killed any braincells that held this info.

How far are you shooting? What are the scoring break downs by ring?

20 yards. Dark blue is a 4. Light blue is a 0. Large white ring is a 5. An X is an X.

    60 arrows. 60 * 5 = 300. An X also counts as a 5 but also counts as an X.

So you keep track of your points AND your X count. So a perfect score is a 300/60X (or 360). The X ring is 1 1/2″. The entire 5 ring (white area) is 3 1/8″.

I shot a 300/39X. Lots of room for improvement.

Nice. 60 arrows wears on a guy.

Ended up taking 2nd overall in league this year. That’s two years in a row now. It was a great competition this year. We had one sudden death one arrow shoot-off and two other rounds that were won by just one arrow.
