I feel bad for this young kid

Seen this on Facebook from the outfitter I use for bear hunting. I couldn’t imagine being this kid and loosing all your ice fishing stuff.

Well that didn’t take long. It was shared on 5 forums and the guy that found it got ahold of the dad and is returning it tonight. Not sure wat is wrecked from the fall off the trailer but all in all this young man has his stuff back.

Sometimes you learn the hard way to strap your gear down. Good lesson for the kid and whoever was driving. Lucky to get his stuff back.

Glad he got the gear back, but dang it, secure the load! Cripes, the things I see people with on trailers and it’s all held on with a piece of rotten cotton rope.

My boss from a past job was on her way home from picking up her new SUV at the dealership. She was on 35W just south of CR C in Roseville and a guy with a new hot tub on a snowmobile trailer hit a bump and neatly ejected the whole 6 person hot tub off the trailer and set it down in her lane about 100 feet in front of her. He figured it was heavy enough it would just sit on the trailer on its own, so he threw a piece of rotten rope over the top and called it good.

Talk about hitting the hot tub! In her case it was at about 50 MPH and in the process she verified that the air bags in her new SUV worked real good. The $37,000+ SUV was pronounced DOA with 39 miles on the clock. Luckily, that was the only thing that was pronounced dead.
