Based on the grim weather forecast I put the boat away for the winter. Repacked trailer hubs, changed lower unit grease, fogged the cylinders, drier sheets in the compartments, the whole deal. Even got the ice auger running. Sigh….

So, if the weather turns around and it gets nice and the river is still open, I’m claiming partial credit. And I’ll be hanging around the 494 access trying to bum an open seat.

Snuck out yesterday around dark, fished until about 10p.m Caught quite a few fish,no big ones. They were deeper then I had been finding them but they were biting.I had 2 within 5minutes of getting where i wanted to be on jigs then it got dark and started snowing and the wind kicked up a bit again and I couldnt get bit on a jig for about an hour so I started pulling a floating jighead upstream real slow and the action was steady from then on.Got a couple pics and my first walleye selfie, lol.I may not pack it in quite yet.Drying the boat out today tho, what a mess.
