Nothing of monster proportions, but darned good eating size. This was a bucket list trip for me and was Carole’s first time on big water actually fishing. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the look on her face when that first coho decided it wanted to be elsewhere as she was reeling it in.

Three limits with three doubles [maybe four doubles].

Stellar Charters out of Kenosha Wisconsin with Shane being the captain of the boat. Great guide, great guy and he knows his stuff! It may have been a whirlwind trip, but it was a riot.

    Tom-

Lived ten minutes from that fishing all my life and just got into it two years ago…. it is addicting for sure. Glad you had a great trip. Nothing better than coho on the grill…

It is interesting how we take things for granted at times. I let all the years go by living here never fishing the big lake…. now I love it. That said, still dream of those little and rare trips to your backyard on the river with my Kayak…that stuff is like bucket trip cool every time I get to go! You helped make those two runs possible with your advise, what two years ago now.

Congrats on the nice catch – it has been a much tougher bite this year compared to last where it was lights out most of the trips on the water.

I had great company with the little lady and Gary while driving across Wisconsin. I’ve done that drive a dozen times, but always for looking at lighthouses. This trip I thought of all the people I’ve been in touch with thru the years from IDO and a couple other web pages I still read that live in Wisconsin near where we traveled. You came to mind a couple times. Carole is all fired up now to come back and spend some time in Milwaukee and the area along the lake and if we do I’ll be in touch as I know there is shore fishing there too in season. I have another friend that lives very close to the lake in Milwaukee so maybe we could do a three-some in the fall.
