    See attached picture

    The Daiwa says:

    Nylon:

    -16lbs (0.33mm)-150meter/160yard

    -12lbs (0.28mm)-200meter/220yard

    Braid:
    -#1.5(0.18mm)-300m

    The Quantum says:

    Mono:
    -10lbs, 150yard

    Braid:
    -20lbs, 220yard

The Daiwa reel has test pounds for mono but not for braid. What the hell is #1.5 braid in terms of test pounds?

Also the Quantum is all metal and the Daiwa is all plastic.

I second the Legalis. Always been a Shimano guy, but this reel is solid. The Legalis works great. I have a Quantum baitcaster the the Lindner’s talked me into on there show. It’s not good.

I have no experience with the daiwa. I have an old quantum that is solid but you can not have a slip knot on it. I run mainly shimano. The quantum I have has such a small space for the line to run through that the slipknot gets stuck. It has been solid as a snapjiging reel.

Legalis 100%. Not sure where you got that it’s all plastic. I own 3 of them and are going on year 3 with no issues. Highest quality $70 reel you will find on the market. I’ve not liked any Quantum product I’ve owned honestly.

Suggest that you snap the bail closed on both reels. I believe that the bail on the Daiwa reel should have an easier more definite close – On my Daiwa reels, the bail arm is hollow and somehow sounds/feels more positive. Do either come with a spare spool?
