Was told it would be beneficial to install a hard start kit on my A-C unit in Arizona. Do you think it is worth the extra cost to install a soft start instead of the hard start kit if I won’t be using a home generator? Thanks

Hard start kits are for cold weather starting or for compressors that are wearing out and need an extra boost to get them going. If that sounds like something you need, then have one installed. Soft starts are beneficial on generator powered systems. If you don’t have one you probably don’t need a soft start either.
