I am going on a full day hunt in the Nelson bottoms on Friday near Wabasha. What is the best route to take from the twin cities?

    Route 1 , 2 or 3?

How long does it take to get there? Google says 1 hour 50 minutes.

Route B is the way I’d go. I don’t get why it’s wanting to route you into Wisconsin, doing all that bridge crossing and through small towns at 25 MPH is weird.

2 hours at least to get down there.

    Route 2. Couple hours…

I’ve fished Nelsons in the spring for bass and have seen lots of waterfowl down there. Watch our for the stump fields if you get out into Robinson Lake.

    Have a good shoot!

hope you stack em up…but we hunt a lot in Wabasha/weaver bottoms area and it has been pretty slow so far and allow yourself PLENTY of boat time as the wild rice is crazy thick this year and travel routes will certainly be different! let us know how you do though and good luck!!

I take route 1 to go to redwing and lakecity all the time. Way faster. Good luck

I say route 1 also. I worked in Wabasha this summer and all my coworkers from the metro area came down that way.
