The following poem was written by a friend’s 13 year old son. It’s his birthday today, so Happy Birthday Aric. I thought his was pretty darn awesome for a 13 year old.
I’m from hard workers,
From kind souls,
I’m from light hearted people,
And from strict disciplinarians.
I’m from a small town,
And from a large family,
I’m from teaching technology,
And learning history.
I’m from delicious food,
I’m from hard hitting sports,
I’m freshly picked vegetables,
And I’m from soft cats and dogs.
I’m from joking friends,
To idiotic classmates,
I’m from a quick thinking family,
And I’m from a beautiful landscape.
I’m from hunting in the morning,
Then to a hearty meal,
I’m from resting up for the next hunt
To resting from the last one.
