Here is the link to our Facebook Page for our cabin. Grouse and Bear season is fast approaching. Be sure to get the best weekends before they are booked up.
The 4-wheeling and snowmobiling up there is excellent as well.
“Buyck Cabin is a 992 square foot cabin in the heart of the Superior National Forest and the Kabetogama State Forest. Fishing, hunting, hiking, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling and boating/canoeing/kayaking are just some of the activities available to guests.
The cabin boasts a rustic scenery and setting in the north woods. It is outfitted with electricity for our guests convenience. It has two bedrooms with beds for up to 11 people. Three queen beds and five single beds are available. The bathroom facilities are located in a separate building adjacent to the cabin. There is no running water. Drinking and wash water is available via 5 gallon water jugs.
There are 15 Canadian Shield Lakes within 10 miles of the property with various accessibility ranging from “walk-in” foot/canoe access to modern ramps for large boats. Outside the 10 mile radius are lakes such as Crane Lake, Lake Vermillion, Pelican Lake, Lake Namakan, Lake Kabetogama and Rainy Lake.
There are approximately 700 miles of snowmobile trails within the Superior National Forest. During the spring, summer and fall months these trails are still functional as hiking and 4-wheeling trails.
Located within 1 mile of the Vermillion River. Float trips, as well as fishing and photography are a great way to experience the Vermillion River. The Vermillion River has anywhere from Class 2 to Class 6 rapids.”
