    Dear IDO,

Kaden’s Dad, Logan, and I are both signed up to participate in this great event. Please read below, I am asking for pledges to help fight the worst forms of cancer. It’s the cancer that affects our kids and friends/families kids.

I am busy training for a 25.5 mile hike in one day. Yes, you read that correctly! Over the next three months, through rain or shine, I’ll be hiking many, many miles-and steep miles at that – to prepare for the Ultimate Hike benefitting CureSearch for Children’s Cancer.

Ultimate Hike is an endurance training program that benefits CureSearch for Children’s Cancer. I will be taking on this extreme endeavor to challenge myself both physically and mentally. But I’ve set my sights higher than just training to hike 25.5 miles. I also aim to raise at least $2,500 to help find a cure for children’s cancer, the number one cause of death by disease in children.

Nearly 13,500 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer each year. 1 out of every 5 of those children diagnosed with cancer does not survive. 3 out of 5 children who are diagnosed suffer devastating, long-term side effects.

This is where, I’m hoping, you come in. Though I can do the training, I need your help to reach my fundraising goal. Making a donation is easy and secure! Just click “Donate” below to make a donation that will be credited to my fundraising. Any amount you can give is greatly appreciated!

You can also join the fight against children’s cancer by forwarding this email along to your contacts! You never know who might be able to help and every gift, no matter the size, is another step closer to a cure.

Thank you in advance for your support of my efforts through Ultimate Hike! With your help, I can hike 25.5 miles to give many others a lifetime of hope!

Click on my Link to help out. I really, really appreciate it. If anyone else want’s to walk you can join our team as well. You will need to raise the $2500.00 is you sign up to participate. We’d love to have you.

We’ve changed things up a little bit. Logan & I have combined our team with two other fathers in Rochester that have lost son’s to cancer. Steve Dickes & Tom Cannan are honoring there son’s (Both William) Our new team name is My Three Son’s in memory of William, Will and Kaden. Our new team goal is now $10,000.00 in donations.

Come on folks, these guys are kicking my butt in donations so far (not that it’s really a compitition, but…..) Anyone interested in helping out our cause? I’ll post the link to our team page My Three Son’s

And also my page Kaden’s Angels (Bob Pries)

This is an amazing organization that is helping research the battle against childhood cancer. Please help where and when you can.

This is an article that the Post Bulliten ran about the hike we are doing. All three dad’s talk about why they are doing the hike and they talk about their sons, there are also pictures of the other two boys that we are honoring.

    Cancer – Take a Hike

As you’ll see, we are also having a fundraiser for the hike on July 4th at Oxbow Park in Byron, MN. Please make it if you can.

I received an amazing donation over the weekend. Insty Prints of Rochester is going to be giving us custom designed shirts for our hike. He’s also giving a $.50 match donation up to a $1000.00. So as long as I raise $2,000.00 in donations, he’ll give us an addition $1000.00. Our team appears to be getting closer and closer.

Thank you Insty Prints – That is Awesome.

Some of you would remember the story of an old timer from Iowa that had his boat and tackle stolen from Everts a few years back. The ended up finding his boat, but it needed some repairs. A lot of people from IDO pooled their funds together and paid to get this gentleman’s boat fixed and some tackle restored. This guy who’s now in his 80’s just sent me a $300.00 donation to my hike. He wanted to stay anomonous but didn’t mind being called “Paying if Forward” What an awesome act of kindness.

Thanks for the support Paying it Forward!!!! I’m up to just under $1,500.00 for my part of our fundraising goal. Another $500.00 and Insty Prints is donating $1,000.00 towards my hike. Anyone else interested in helping me out???? I’ll re-paste my web page.

I truely appreciate all the help here you folks have given. For a group of people that have hardly any idea who I am, let alone the other dads or their sons, it is amazing.
