It seems this is what we will end up with out of this whole government fiasco. Even though it sounds easy and like a major win for us wasnt there some ramification about background checks that opened up and linked various databases so they have more information about all of us at their fingertips?
The problem is that there is so much data out there already in the Government’s hands that I can’t point to any way in which full background checks will make the current situation WORSE. Keeping in mind, they aren’t collecting any NEW data to determine if you are allowed to own a gun legally. They are only using the data they already have to make that determination.
If you look at the numbers of Government employees just in MN who have recently been caught violating data access laws and it underlines the scope of the problem. Everything about you is already out there and if it isn’t all connected now, it’s only a few clicks to assemble the whole picture anyway.
