Was in LaCrosse today and thought I would stop into Gander and try out there 360 range. Onalaska Police Dept and others use it for training.

Being X military it was very good helps sharpen reaction and judgement.

One scenario was a police call to a domestic disturbance as your pulling up looking thru the windshield of the cruiser a house comes into view as your getting out a guy comes out of the house carrying a shotgun yelling all sorts of things he never points the shot gun at you but starts blasting away in another direction. While your attention is focused on him another guy is off to the left starts shooting from behind a tree. While the guy in front of you with the shotgun drops down and another guy is behind him at the side door of the house and starts shooting at you. The whole scenario is set up as an ambush.

One scenario had eight doors like an apartment building with good guys and bad guys coming out of different doors. The pop ups were just a hoot coming up for just a few seconds and gone any where in the 360.

When I get to LaCrosse I will defiantly go again. Well worth the time and money on Thursday it is $30 for 45 minutes. They have an instructor in there with you to help and talk about the good and bad decisions you make or form.

My kids took me there last year for my birthday. It was alot of fun. The scenario’s they put you into are realistic and do teach you to have “eyes in the back of your head”. Getting tunnel vision during a gun fight will definately get you into trouble.

Its a good, inexpensive way to train, especially if you are a CC holder.
