Way to go Mr. Bulldog…er I mean Matt!

There are some pretty darn good St Croix sticks in the line up.

Good luck to all the Ido guys!

Matt strung together three great days of fishing to finish in second place!

He brought in over 18 pounds today, but just couldn’t catch Nick Johnson.

    Congrats buddy!

I was looking for the nearest state lands to my house to go shoot my rifle tomorrow. Unfortunately the closest place appears to be Sherburn national. I can’t find any clear info on whether I can shoot there.

Anyone know of any other place to shoot close to Monticello. None of the local gun clubs will answer the phone.

258 miles each way +/- or the fact that its just over 4 hours probably doesn’t make much sense for running down here by me

This summer Randy. I’d love to get a group of guys together and come over for a grill out, shooting, camp fire lie telling session.

Kooty, I’m seriously thinking out the logistics on it.

I have a tent and fart sack, will travel. Prefer to do it before it’s too hot of course.

Minor issue – My Dad moved 7 bee colonies to where we would set up. I have some logistics to get worked out

I thought about running up that way Bob. Still might in the AM. Ma has to fly out tomorrow afternoon again so might not want to get that far from home. Thanks for the offer.

Stickboy is 20 minutes from you. I don’t think he would mind.

Kooty, I’m with you. It can be really frustrating to find out about ranges and clubs. Open hours, who can shoot when, members vs non-members, etc.

Especially when you get out into rural areas. Many ranges just have member’s only and “everybody knows” they are open certain days/hours.

I shoot over in Hudson at the Hudson Rod & Gun club. In fact, I was just there yesterday and due to the Packers playing (beating!) the Bears, it was empty. But that’s too long of a drive for you, I’d think. It’s a nice club, though.

Isn’t there a club up in Chiscago/Forest Lake/Hugo? I’ve heard about something up there and have been menaing to check it out as I recall they have longer ranges.

Sorry, can’t offer any more specifics.
