It would be nice to see some central effort to call out states that currently have, and are presumably enforcing, illegal gun bans and restrictions. Now that the Supreme Court has ruled once and for all that the Second Ammendment is an individual right, there are many states that are now breaking the law themselves by enforcing all manner of unconstitutional gun restrictions and bans. Let’s take California for instance. . .
Also, I hope the NRA and other groups go after this “death by a thousand cuts” approach where states chip away at gun rights by arbitrary bans on the types of guns you can own, the types of accessories you can own, and all manner of other restrictions. These constitute a de facto ban on guns because they are inhibiting the people’s access to a right that is clearly called out in the Constitution. This is the same tactic as the so-called “intelligence tests” that were used in the south to keep African Americans from voting after they were given the right to vote.
