Nice looking stick there. I currently use the G Loomis Walleye Series GLX- it’s a 6’2″ rod and it has the same guides on it. I do find them light and you did mention that it would help reduce ice build up, but when you take them out in February, let me know if the guides lose there recoil. Mine did- in fact I thought that my rod was broke, but what actually happens is when the guides bend, they don’t spring back in the extreme cold. That was one thing that I noticed about those types of guids- whatever brand it may be. If you don’t find that problem with Croix, I might have to jump the fence and give one a try.

I’ve thought about that happening to me and what I would do. Part of me says to report it. Part of me says to move on and let it be. By reporting it you open yourself up to scrutinization and possibly a huge fine. And you’ll be on internet sites like this. If it was truly self defense for you or your dog then why set yourself up for all that? I just decided. Leave it.

I love reading the quotes on the Strib site. Just proves man may not have been walking upright as long as we think…

I wonder if there is a way to keep these incidents private. Does it become public record once a report is filed? I’d hate to subject my family’s safety to these whack jobs.

In WI, they are public incident reports.

I had one approach my dog while grouse hunting in Wi. I cought site of it from approx 45 yards, pointed towards my dog. I didnt consider it an incident and didnt even consider shooting at/towards it. I just healed my dog back to the car. My neck hairs sure stood up! You’re right Kooty. You would subject yourself to all kinds of wackos. Like the one putting up all the billboard adds I seen from hear to Ely this weekend. No f’ing way I report it.
