Glad to see you tied into dome fish! I don’t think there is another fish out there as perfectly designed for circles. The way they grab your bait and that fleshy mouth is a perfect combination for circles.

Just interested to know how many of you actually applied for the lottery for a MN wolf permit?

It would be fantastic to get a wolf in the crosshairs and since I’m out there hunting deer with a Contender handgun it would increase the achievement in my mind. There can’t be that many people in the lower 48 who have legally taken a wolf with a handgun.

Should I be lucky enough to get one, I’ll certainly have the hide tanned as a wolfskin rug would be a terrific trophy. And it would give me something to wear to the next PETA rally. . .

I applied for the first firearms season, the one that overlaps with deer season. Probably not the best time with so many people out, but I figured that’s when I’d be out in the field the most.

    Anyone else out there apply?

I applied along with my oldest son. We also put in for first season. NW zone or whatever they called it. I deer hunt by Karlstad and always hear or see them during the season.

I applied as well as 3 others in my family. When do we find out who drew a tag?

I applied for the late season. I plan to hunt hard after the deer seasons are all closed on the land I have access to.

Well, it’ll be interesting to see if the bunny hugger’s court challenge filed yesterday will stop the lottery and ultimately the hunt.

The DNR is not keen to stop this thing now that it’s in motion, so hopefully we’ll know in October who got tags.
