It is 2012 isn’t it? I guess I don’t understand how it takes more than a month to determine and broadcast lottery results.
Isn’t it computerized? Why couldn’t a program (or person) at 12:01 am on the day after the application deadline hit the “start” button and have the lottery run and complete in a few seconds?
Do they really use paper name tags and a raffle ticket tumbler to determine winners??????? Wouldn’t surprise me.
Maybe someone needed to transfer all the names on the the lottery balls………………. 
Maybe that is what all the creel survey internship kids do in the fall once they leave the landings.
I’m surprised a bit too. Seeing the turkey and bear lotteries have went terribly wrong recently, I’m questioning who the state outsources this to.
Yeah, I’m in a lottery zone this year and I was bummed to find out that lottery results aren’t available until mid-October. I could understand a couple weeks, but c’mon, nearly a month and a half? Grrrr. Wonder if it has something to do with the preference point system?
I feel the same way but also know in other states for Lottery results take sometime as well. Still don’t know why it can’t be sooner even 7-10 days
Guess what I got in the mail yesterday! I received notice that I’ve been selected for an anterless deer permit! 
Yay! That didn’t take long at all, which is surprising because the DNR’s website said results won’t be available until mid-October… 
No doe tag for me. Bummer.
No news on the wolf tag yet.
