Kaden is in surgery today to remove the tumors from his lungs. I’ll paste his care pages link below. As long as the surgeons don’t find any more super small tumors, they’re hoping for the best. It will be a little bit of a long recovery from this, it sounds very painful. 7 out of 10 on the pain rating scale.

This came in just as I was typing it up.

Dr. Ishitani just came out and gave us the update. It only took 1 hour to do the actual removal of the tumors. THE GOOD NEWS…NO ADDITIONAL tumors were found!!! Dr. Ishitani made a 5.2 cm incision that he got his hand into!!! Being young Kaden has a flexible rib cage…that’s a plus. We are very excited that he didn’t find any other spots…it’s very encouraging at this point because we were always told that if there are two there are usually more that the CT doesn’t pick up. Dr. Ishitani can feel anything as small as 1mm. Thank you LORD!!! We are not in the clear obviously but it’ s a step in the right direction! Now, we deal with pain from surgery…
