My wife and I have been involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for two years now. Today was the Swing for the Stars Golf Tournament at Somerby in Byron. This years special guest celebrity was big #40 Jim Kleinsasser, who is very active in Make-A-Wish himself. Did I say he was big….what a monster of a man. Also in the crowd at the banquet tonight were many former Make-A-Wish recipients and my little buddy Kaden and his whole family. Kaden was pretty tired today as he just finished up with 5 more treatments in the last 6 days. 
But at the end of the evening Jim came up and talked about his involvement and then………
And then announced that Kaden’s wish had been granted. Mom, Dad and his two sisters are going on a Disney Cruise Line for a week. And Jim sponsored Kaden’s wish all by himself (which he does quite often the way is sounds)
It has been a really tough 3-4 weeks for the Tjossems. Logan is being forced into mediation with his ex (as if they didn’t have enough going on) I hope the judge throws her case out and scolds her for putting this on them at this time. And with the constant worry of Kaden’s health and well being, their surpise tonight could not have come at a better time. If you ever get a chance to be part of any of these events – Make-A-Wish, Catch-A-Dream, Wounded Warriors Project, etc, etc, etc I urge you to do it. It’s amazing to see not only the recipients face and expressions but their whole families joy and happiness.
Congradulations Tjossems on your vacation, it will be well deserved and well needed I’m sure.
