Kaden is home again for two weeks, assuming he does not get fevers or other complications from chemo. 5 treatments in 6 days.

Here’s Kadens Page if you’d like to get the updates when’s Jamie posts them. You’ll need to create a log in.

Back in the hospital, but doing ok…..

Kaden is still spiking fevers and his blood counts are still dropping. He got a red blood cell transfusion last night so his hemoglobin is good now. His neutrophils are zero and his platelets dropped to 30. Looks like we’ll be here several more days! Once again we are having de ja vu…this is exactly what happened after the first Cis-platin treatment. We know the routine! Kaden is doing a great job taking all of his meds…Tylenol, Bactrum, Na-K, Magnesium, Zofran, and a mouth wash…not just once but several times a day! They also gave him Oxycodone last night because he has an anal sore that is hurting him; side effect from the chemo. All in all he is doing good.

Well they say that things come in three’s, but this is getting out of hand now. Last week my uncle found out that he has stage 4 in his stomach and pancreas and they are doing more scans to see if it has spread anywhere else in his body. And late last week a friend of the family has just began her fight with breast cancer. Seriously, enough is enough. I think this makes 5 people this year alone. This stupid disease is everywhere.
