I know there are a ton of appointments, prosthetic fittings, and who know’s what else for the Tjossems, but yesterday was a HUGE day for them…..Hats off to them and wishing the rest is a breeze for them.

Kaden’s urine pH FINALLY reached above 7.0 at 9:30pm last night. Chemo started shortly thereafter. A little later than we would have liked but you can’t rush physiology! So far everything is going good! Kaden woke up about every two hours to pee…no pull-up needed! SO PROUD OF HIM! He and Logan are a little sleepy this morning. So needless to say I don’t know if Logan is feeling any younger today on his 36th birthday! Happy Birthday Logan!!!! You’re a wonderful husband and an even better Dad! (now go make me some cappucino!…HA!). Logan and I said that if we can survive in a dorm-sized room, 24/7, for this many months and still get along that our marriage can withstand anything! We’ll have to celebrate his birthday properly this weekend when we are officially DONE with treatment! The river may be calling us if the weather is nice. Kaden is feeling good and believe it or not there is still cake left…minus the two pieces that Kaden has already eaten It’s a good day! Stop up and wish Logan a Happy Birthday and Kaden Happy end of treatment! We are in room 3-150 until Saturday morning.

I’ve been having a bit of a tough go since late last week. Probably even been feeling a bit sorry for myself. Thanks for sharing this great news and helping me put my life into perspective a bit.

    Best of luck Kaden!!
