South Dakota GFP Offers Apple and Android Apps for Hunters and Anglers

The South Dakota Department of Game Fish and Parks has just released two smart phone applications that will make life easier for hunters and anglers.

The SD GFP applications, or apps, are free downloads at the App Store for users of the Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and in the Android Marketplaces for Android phones. They allow sportsmen to purchase and apply for licenses via their phones, provide GPS enabled maps of public hunting areas and fishing access and give access to the current SD fishing and hunting handbooks.

The iPhone app can be found at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sdgfp-outdoors/id501439458?ls=1&mt=8

The app for Android phones can be found at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gfptab&feature=search_result,

The apps also have links to the GFP website, Facebook page and Youtube channel.

For more information on these apps, and other GFP social media tools, visit: http://gfp.sd.gov/agency/social-media.aspx.
