Had a co-worker call me asking to confirm he had a virus on his PC. Apparently an english speaking foreigner called him at home last night. He stated he was from Microsoft. He said it’s been reported you have a virus on your PC, please login in to the following site to get it fixed. Luckily this guy saw through the BS and didn’t go to that website.
This is the first time I’ve heard of these places making calls to trick people into this junk. 
Anyway, it might not be a bad thing to warn your family members who may be a bit more gullible when it comes to computers.
