Well, my final hunts of the season are almost upon me. I thought I was done for the year, but the bug has crept back in. We have very few deer left at Dad’s place but there is one really good buck there. I need to look at the pics when I get home, but I think he’s another one of our young deer who will need another year to be a giant.

Didn’t get to hunt this AM. Gotta earny my keep. Dad messed up his back a couple days back. I’ll be finishing up putting away pheasant stuff, installing a garage door opener and cutting down an old tarp builing support system. THEN…
I’m headed for my cousin’s farm. Rumor has it they have a bunch of great deer running around. The trick will be finding a spot to setup without much knowledge of the deer patterns. I’m not too optimistic, but since I only get to see these guys once a year it won’t matter. Never know, it only takes 1…
I’ll try to get some video uploaded over the weekend of a really weird 3 point dad has running around here. He won’t get pass. We also have another really nice buck just to the north at the neighbors. I need to go look at a couple other bucks shot by the neighbors to see if any of them are “our” deer. Right now, the cameras have been pretty quiet with bone.
