I know it’s gonna be a skating rink around here tomorrow, but overall it’s been a pretty nice start to winter in Minneapolis. It doesn’t help those of us still trying to trick a smart old buck either, but overall this has got to help the wildlife so much!

It was so much it just all ran together after Thanksgiving. It won’t bother me if I don’t have to put gas in the blower this winter. Ok, that’s wishful thinking but a boy can dream.

I just wish the ground would freeze good. I hate plowing all the gravel out of my driveway only to r ake it back in the driveway in the spring!

Good side-helps wildlife survive winter and makes for fun hunting at your parents.

Bad side-snowmobiling and ice fishing season shortened.

Don across the alley just shot a nice 140″-150″ 9 pointer late this afternoon. It has an extra mainbeam about 10″ long coming off just below his right antler and behind the eye just about like a recent post here. It started drizzeling about 2 hrs ago and down here the warm weather and rain will make them move better. The rain on the ground will hold the does scent better and it will want them to keep looking more, all the moisture will put thier noses on the ground for the does that haven’t been bred yet. All the moisture quiets the woods down, Id hunt this upcoming weather because they should be moving.

Ya Coppertop I know what your saying, 2″ or 3″ would be ok but not 12 right now, maybe after the first of the year it could snow more. Anyway you look at it snows beautiful and way cool to be in a treestand after a fresh snow.

My wife is pissed that there is no snow. But then again, she doesn’t have to run the shovel or blower either.
