Kaden Tjossem is the son of Jamie & Logan, they are friends of ours. Kaden was diagnosed with bone cancer a few weeks ago at the age of 3. His prognosis is as good as it could be considering they will have to remove part of his leg. Doctors have done a bone scan and his cancer is localized in his one Femur, so after the surgery they are pretty certain that they will have removed all the cancer. He is in his first part of a 29 week long Chemo therapy session. At the 10 week point is when they will remove his leg just above the knee. He’s a brave young boy that is going to live his life as every 3 year old should. He plays and wrestles and love video games. Kaden has a very contagious smile and laugh, sounds like he’s been keeping all the staff at the hospital very entertained. He’s been going through Chemo for just about a week now and last night his hair started falling out. So here’s where we can help…..
I’d like to organize a head shaving party with as many of my friends and family that are willing to do it with me. Some time around the last week of October or the first week in November, I gonna have a get together in Byron. If you would like to shave your head great, if you’d rather not, how about making a pledge. I am looking for a $10.00 minimum pledge from anyone and everyone who would like to help. If anyone else that wants to shave their head with me, I would like you to get pledges as well. We will gather up all the funds and donate it to the Tjossems when we are done. I will check and see if Locks of Love want all the hair or not. If Kaden is up for it, I’m hoping that they will be there as well. Logan has already had one hair cut with Kaden today, and like they told Kaden, it will grow back.
