Keeping antelope pelts?

Anyone with experience in keeping antelope pelts in warm weather? I know they are prone to slipping hair pretty easily. I don’t have any means for freezing or cooling them for the 3 days of hunting plus travel time. If my daughter gets her first buck, she wants the pelt tanned for her bedroom. Suggestions on the best way to keep it?

My nephew (who is in MT Elk hunting right now ) lives in AZ, so he always brings a big cooler, with dry ice. He can keep venison cool for 5-6 days with this method. He just re-packs on the 2 day drive home, and works good for him

Lay the hide out flat remove as much fat, meat left on the hide. Rub a generous amount of salt into every inch of the hide. Fold hide raw side to raw side and keep cool as possible. Don’t get wet so the salt washes off. It’ll last a long time without slipping.

Thanks! I figured salting was the best bet
