I posted this on a Honda forum, but always get good advice from IDO. I have a 2006 Honda 500 Foreman with only 700 miles. Runs great, but the problem starts when it gets hot. When hot it will start to lose power, and then shut off. When I let it cool for awhile it will start back up and be fine. This happened while putting in food plots earlier this year, and then over the weekend while running under load in 1st gear for awhile. I am not beating the tar out of it, just working at slower speeds. The fan does come on and run prior to the power loss. I checked the vent hoses on the tank and carb. which are clear. Don’t think it is a dirt problem in tank, filter, or carb. as it only happens when it is hot(note: the temp light does not light on the dash during this). Is it possible it is vapor lock!?! Ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hey Nut, Do you have an in tank fuel pump? if so it’s probably overheating and then vapor locks. My 800 Polaris did this for more than a year try and run it till it quits with a low fuel level, then when it quits pour in some cold gas that you are carrying on you rack. if it starts and runs it is a pump problem. I had to show this to the Polaris rep to get mine fixed under warranty. good luck!!let us know what you find out
