There maybe some bad characters in your picture title. Try renaming it with no odd characters like -> *”#@ so on and so forth.

Here in Iowa the carp spawn is on. Had a great day of bowfishing with 8 carp and 2 highfin. No pics cause I was by myself and it just gets a little to messy and wet for electronics.

Someone in my neck of the woods got into some good shooting with some big Carp. Too bad they took the time to dump them on a rock island I like to fish…hope they don’t treat their Deer that way.

Those people give us a bad rap. I have trapper buddys that love to get them and freeze them for trapping bait in November and a few that want them for summer turtle trapping. You kinda gotta plan what to do with them befor you go shoot them.

I was out with a buddy last night. Filled up the barrel with 22 carp, biggest was just over 33# and 12-15 dogfish. Fun night for sure!

Nice work guys! Thats a load full Dennis! Bowfishing is a ton of fun, used to do it alot growing up. The lakes around here are just loaded with carp. I have never gotten to do it at night, always thought that would be a ton of fun though.

What do you guys use for equipment? We just always used older bows we had around and threw a bowfishing reel on them; got a bear something rigged up and an old jennings airmaster. IMHO its worth spending a couple bucks on a reel if you have an old bow laying around and giving it a try, I think most any one who hunts would enjoy it.

Had a good day of hunting here the river is high and made the back waters very easy to navigate. Fish were all over. Had a blast. This was from about 3 hours of bowfishing today.

This is awesome, you guys are putting arrows through not just good numbers, but big fish!!!

Dennis, with those fish across the boat like that…..one of the coolest bowfishing shots I’ve ever seen, and Ptour, that first fish is a monster. It’s been years since I’ve done it, but I used to have a place where it was all numbers, no size. Literally flock shooting at big schools of 3lbers.

Are most of you guys walking creeks or going on lakes?

My buddy is big into it and had the hooks made just for those pictures. Pretty cool. I’ve been shooting a bunch from shore but it’s not half as fun as the night shoots.

I live on a lake that is a river impoundment with lots of shallow muddy cattail filled back waters. Awesome for duck hunting in the fall and carp shooting in the warmer months. I always prefer useing the boat but walking can be fun too.
