Not fishable yet, but coming down, barring any more rain I think we’ll see ideal conditions for a strong crank bite by the last week in July or the first week of August.

I got an ‘eye in Cedar Falls on the 26th. I felt as though I should have given it a tetanus shot.

The DNR said on TV last week that the fish would be safe to eat (hey, if it’s the TV and the DNR it has to be correct right? ). Something about the fact that fish don’t absorb from the water around them and it is more of what they eat? Makes you wonder though.

Your right bigdog I heard that. They said that if you cook it it’s o.k.

    I’m not into sushi anyway.

Ive tried my usual spots on the Cedar for the last couple of weeks and cannot catch a thing but a few snagged quillbacks. Water is still high and very muddy with lots of junk still floating. Maybe by October it will be better

I went to Everts Resort today to help out a little bit. It was nice to meet Mike Pearson, and a couple other IDO members today from the fishing side.

John, the guy that kept complaining about touching walleye baits? That was Mr. Corey Waller and his wife Jen…btw, she can get by with bass fishing.

Trumar was there, Vern Wagner, Doc Jeremy, Curt DeLong, Big E, Willie, Dwight from Scheels, Woodie and a short visit from ScottK. Not to mention Dennis Anderson from the Mpls paper and his friend from England.

And a solid 20 others that I’ve missed!

Wait! This isn’t the fishing side is it?

    Never mind.

Great to meet you guys as well. Maybe next time it won’t be under such stressful conditions.
