I may be a little bit younger than most, but my grandma wasn’t, and she was ol fashion all the way. she was also really good with her shoe. we would do something that she didn’t like and she would whack you with her shoe, enough to knock you down or slow you down and he dog would hold you down long enough until she got there.

so I have heard alot of them, just around the farm though. not too much anywhere else.

I still use some of those and I am not that old, just grew up with parents that talked like that. the best one that is still used is the “quit crossing your eyes they will get stuck” as my son has a lazy eye and he loves doing the “crazy eye” when we are not around to freak other kids out.

Also one you do not hear that I heard growing up

is at 8 a.m…….go play but make sure you are home for dinner tonight around 6……

I remember that. But for me it was with the BB gun.

My Mom also would tell us, take your shoes off, you are going to get them all muddy.

Then, you get home and have to strip outside and hose down, can’t bring all that mud into the house.

    Ohh the good old days.

This is about 1/2 of the batteries used at this site this winter Sometimes it was just to cold to pick them up.
This cuddeback averaged about 8 batteries per week But it does take good pictures

Is it just too much hassle to use lithium rechargables? Don’t last in the cold??

Never tried them I only have 2 cuddebacks. My other cameras still have the batteries that i put in them this spring and are still going strong I just like the night time pic quality of the cuddeback

Looks like the pile on my workbench. Bob, get yourself a battery tester. I always keep my batteries, test them and most can be used again during warmer weather. Unless your camera read “Batteries Failed” but most of us change them before that happens. I picked one up at Batteries Plus.
