I am also looking into having my chip replaced or reprogrammed. This Ultra low sulfur fuel sucks donkey dung for milage. I lost about 5 mpg with this crap and worse when pulling my boat. (BTW I have a ’01)

although not a diesel, i installed an edge system on my brother’s jeep rubicon. don’t know about milage, but the power sure jumped up. can bark the first three of six gears wearing 33’s.
June 11, 2008 at 10:33 pm #692028I have the Edge Evolution on my 2006 Duramax and had the Edge Juice on the 2003 that I had before that. Both are great units and Edge has been in the game a long time. A couple of differences between the two units are that the Evo is a programmer that downloads the new mapping to the engine computer, while the Juice is a module that plugs into the injector harnesses and intercepts the signals from the engine computer and changes them to add more fuel, etc. The Evo display can be removed from the truck, hooked up to a computer, and updates can be downloaded. I was a beta tester for the Evo and as feedback was given to Edge they tweaked the programming and then made the new software available via download.
I don’t have any first hand experience with the Predator, but people have been satisfied with that company as well for these “LBZ” Duramax engines.
Fun stuff, but the tires will hate you.
June 12, 2008 at 2:19 am #692090i chipped my 05 duramax and no longer own it but i used a bully dog chip. with that being said i would go with edge or hyper tech i know people with each programer and both have higher mpg. i know the guy with the hyper tech is getting better milage than the one that has the edge. but it could be the difference in a lifted truck and also the driver. if i would put one in it would be a toss up i guess i would go with which ever was cheaper
June 15, 2008 at 8:39 pm #692762If anyone here is looking for an Edge chip that fits a ford diesel 6.0L, Pm me and we can work out the details if intrested. I used it for 3mos and then took it out causes it was going to void my warrenty.
June 16, 2008 at 2:56 am #692829put the power pup from bully dog on your duramax’s and you WON’T be disappointed.

But I was think about running a zip line through it. Its a pretty flat piece of ground with really tall trees I think it would work.

February 14, 2011 at 2:58 pm #100338careful of owls and flying squirrels as your cruising through the trees and dark
February 14, 2011 at 3:44 pm #100342HOw far is this line going to be? I think maybe every deer that’s bedded down will see you?
I’ve often thought about a hover board to keep it more quiet. Didn’t get to far with that idea yet.
February 14, 2011 at 7:37 pm #100355could be intresting if its silent enough and dark enough when going in …….could work
February 14, 2011 at 7:50 pm #100361If they are gonna see you walking in the woods your busted already. You wouldn’t have to fly through the trees. wonder if you could make it so you could just creep along but I am not sure how quiet these things are. Just slowly hand pull your way I don’t know.
Just an idea but put some beer behind it and it might be the next youtube Hit.
