Can somebody please give me a straight answer?
what is the safest, surest, legal method of shipping a long gun for an out of state hunt?
should I be affraid of checking in with my baggage at the airport?
    should I trust the USPS?
Do I insure it, regardless of my shipping method?
    Somebody help me!
Hunters have to be doing this daily. what is the best method?

    cheers

I have flown with mine twice to Texas. Had no problem checking them or getting them back. Make sure you follow all TSA rules and rules for the airline you are flying. Some airlines have more strict rules than the TSA. Also, invest in or borrow a good sturdy case, because the baggage handlers don’t give a crap what is in the container.
