I agree. Definitely not a “hose” cat.

One little spelling error and the poor guy just gets ribbed to death.

Cool pics. We saw some tracks this year bow hunting out there. Brings a new dimension of ‘leary’ to walking to a stand in the dark

My cousin has a 121lb. female mounted in his basement. He shot it the first year they were able to hunt. They are amazingly powerful looking critters.

Very cool pictures! I would be interested to know whether or not the deer and/or elk population has suffered in the area.

Put your trail cam in a bar in SD and I’ll bet you get pictures of hose cats….

The GF&P is fighting one heck of a political battle over there. Each time they try to raise the # of tags, the out of state special interest groups raise holy heck.

The perception is both elk and deer populations have suffered greatly. So much so in the Black Hills Custer state park, most guys are hoping they don’t draw their once in a lifetime elk tags. In years past, it wasn’t uncommon to shoot 390 inch + bulls in the park consistently. The herd went from over 200+ head of animals now down to 90 some.

Are there other factors? I’m sure there is.

Here is a video from one of the GF&P people in Nebraska. The guy was one of the big wigs in Nebraska stating “Lions don’t live in Nebraska” Hope you all enjoy. It is about 9 years ago when this took place but it is still very cool.

For sure, perfect example of the old school thought process of “I won’t believe it till I see it!”
