I personally like fat and sassy for my crawlers.

I have tried the buss bedding and that I do not like at all, you put a tad to much water in your mix and the crawlers are dead.. Trust me there is nothing worse then going for a cold beer in the garage fridge and gagging at a bad batch of crawlers!

I’ve used Bus bedding for years.
As with any bedding, you don’t want to use to much water.
I usually mix in water untill I can just squeeze out a little water in a handful of bedding.

For reference, I don’t keep crawlers year round. This time of the year though, I will go through 2 to 3 flats of crawlers from now through the 4th of July. After that, I empty the rest in my yard until next year. As an added benefit, my yard is now full of crawlers also!

I used the Frabill bedding and the Frabill storage system. I’ve had my crawlers in the fridge for a little more than a month now. They seem to be doing great. I think they might even be drinking some of my beer.

I used to, but don’t anymore. At the time, Buss bedding was used along with foam chests. Wet newspaper sheets were placed over the bedding. In a short time, it looked as though the newspapers were riddled with buckshot. The worms were so lively, they almost couldn’t be held in an open hand. As said earlier, be careful with the water.

Can you give me anymore details? Us guys that run coyote hounds need to keep tabs on these guys so we can avoid them.

Your boss should’ve shot it with something other than a camera!

Why? Would the wolf turn around and fight the dogs?

I don’t know if a single one would and don’t want to find out. Hence the reason I want to know were it’s at so we can avoid it. In wolf country they eat hounds like candy.

Pretty amazing pictures! One thing that I would like to point out though and it has come up several times on our site in regard to wolves. Everyone here has the right to state your opinion, but please keep in mind that IDO does not want to encourage or persuade anyone to illegally shoot a wolf or a mountain lion.
